Our recruitment process

What happens after you apply, and how long it usually takes.

We check everyone carefully because the people we support depend on it. Here’s what to expect.

  1. Apply. Fill in the short online application or call us.
  2. A phone chat. We call to learn about your experience and the work you’re looking for.
  3. Interview. A friendly face-to-face interview at our Southsea office. Bring your ID and right-to-work documents.
  4. Checks. We apply for your enhanced DBS check and request your references. Nurses’ NMC registration is checked too.
  5. Induction and training. You complete mandatory training and learn how we work.
  6. Your first shift. We brief you on where you’re going and who to ask for, and we’re on the end of the phone throughout.

How long this takes depends mostly on how quickly checks and references come back. We’ll keep you updated at each step.
